Rafn is a well-known freelance photographer (musician and a painter) in Iceland and has dedicated himself photographing Icelandic landscape for others to enjoy since he was a young boy.
Rafn is a self-educated photographer and has worked as a freelance photographer for more than thirty years. He has got his photos published all over the world, like China, Germany, Scandinavian countries… both in magazines as on the internet.

Rafn started his website “Islandsmyndir.is” 21st. of June 2002 and people all over the world are visiting his site. At that time he was one of the first who started promoting Iceland for tourists over the internet so they could see what to expect.
From that time Rafn started guiding individuals for private workshop tours in the Icelandic nature but he never takes more than 2 or 3 persons at a time and I’m one of the lucky ones who have attended his private trips several times.

Most of us know how challenging landscape photography is. To get it really right, and capture the landscape exactly as you mean to.
His photos always seem to put me in the right mood. They have a deep, calming orderdness, with beautiful rich natural colors, pleasing as well as classical compositions.
